Partnering with your family for success

Discover how I collaborate with families to ensure every child's educational journey is supported and celebrated. This page outlines my commitment to open communication, active participation, and placing your child's needs at the heart of everything we do.

Open and consistent communication

I believe that consistent communication is key to a strong partnership. You can expect daily updates on your child's progress and activities ( I will update this more when I know my grade level I either use a physical sheet of paper that parents sign get and sign and return everyday or I have used an app that the school uses for daily communication previously.) Additionally, I update my website monthly with important announcements, resources, and insights to keep you informed about our classroom community.

Your voice in the IEP process

Navigating the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. My commitment is to ensure your voice is centered in every decision. Before any IEP meeting, I will send out a pre-meeting form to gather your insights about any concerns or news that you would like to share with the full IEP team. I try my best to hand out the IEP at least two days in advance to give you a chance to look over new/old goals and services before we have the meeting, to give you time as the guardian to prepare any questions you might have. Together, we'll develop a plan that truly reflects your child's unique strengths and needs.

Respectful resolution and support

Disagreements can arise, but my approach is always rooted in respect and finding solutions that benefit your child. If we encounter different perspectives, I am committed to open dialogue and active listening. We can schedule a dedicated meeting to discuss concerns, explore various options, and collaboratively reach a resolution. My ultimate goal is to ensure you always feel heard, understood, and supported in advocating for your child.
